NEW HERE
If your mental image of Saudi travel hasn’t changed recently, it probably needs updating.
The country’s luxury-hospitality expansion has moved beyond announcements into actual openings, particularly around the Red Sea, while Riyadh and Jeddah continue adding major international names.
But the interesting part isn’t the quantity.
It’s the geography.
Desert.
Islands.
Coral reefs.
Heritage destinations.
Cities changing incredibly quickly.
Saudi has the opportunity to create a luxury-travel identity that doesn’t need to imitate its neighbours.
And that’s what I’m watching.
Not who can build the biggest lobby.
Who can create the hotel that could only exist there?
THE CURATOR SAYS: Saudi is no longer somewhere I’m watching for “one day.” The interesting part has already started.

The Saudi destinations shouldn't be treated as interchangeable: AlUla centres heritage and desert landscapes, the Red Sea is a coastal and island experience, and Jeddah offers the historic Al-Balad district. I'd always confirm that a newly announced resort is accepting bookings, and check transfers before building a holiday around it.
